ANT!PODiUM IS AB-FAB!

ANT!PODiUM’s latest Spring/Summer 2010 collection entitled ‘Ab-Fab’ has just hit FSX stores. London based Aussie designer Geoffrey J. Finch is known for creating effortlessly cool clothes, and this collection is no exclusion. With his use of sheer, soft fabrics and colour palette, Finch creates easy to wear clothes that are laid back, while still retaining an air of sophistication.

This season, Finch has collaborated with Aboriginal artists from Western Australia, creating a quirky and unexpected range of accessories including a hand knitted beanie and Lizard Stole by Ruby McIntosh of the Wadjarri tribe. His prints also seem to be influenced by his outback adventures, with reference to Dreamtime paintings and touches of flannel throughout.

GALLERY STUFF: PRECIOUS PENDANTS

You MUST go and check out these bespoke handmade jewellery pieces on exhibition at Object Gallery. These pieces display so much intricacy and technical integrity, one could more accurately describe them as small sculptural forms.

You will witness interesting new forms, unexpected materials and beautiful colours that communicate a strong sense of the designer, and inescapably invoke an emotional response within the viewer.

All of these one off pieces on show are also available for sale, which presents a great opportunity for jewellery collectors and participating designers.

OSCAR THE THIRD EXPLORES PRISMS

Oscar The Third plays around with geometry in their latest range, but in a very unexpected way. While their silhouettes remain simple, Oscar The Third introduces geometric shapes in their cuts and beaded detailing, and use layering and weaving to create feminine textures. Colour also plays a key role, with sweet splashes of tangerine and peppermint. And with summer now in full swing, Oscar The Third is the perfect way to celebrate the warming weather.
